I totally disagree with the argument over whether this should be included in the votes. Photography is a form of art and interpretation is at the discretion of the photogapher. I love the way photos have taken a turn into the post production phase and that artists are using images to express their art. The photograph was good to begin with but the expression is even more. I love it and believe it deserves all the votes it got! There is no indication that digital darkroom talent is not a part of this contest nor should there be.

I guess I have to agree with the thought that this is a photo contest not a post production contest.This may be a great piece of art but as an entry in a photo contest no. In my opinion this is not a photo. I can't believe its getting the votes like it is?

I commend the work that has gone into creating this and the before & after is astonishing but I'm inclined to agree with Paul, although a stunning, simply stunning image it's not in my opinion a "photograph".

Thank you for showing the before and after. It shows what a creative person can do with an ordinary photo. I am just learning, but have found out that it is almost more fun to edit the image than to take the image.
